It's time to build

That’s the title of a recent essay by Marc Andreessen making a lot of noise in the tech world. Andreessen is first-and-foremost a living legend for having created Mosaic, the first web browser that supported graphics.

Back in 2011, Andreessen penned his first viral essay: Why Software Is Eating The World. These words quickly became cliche in the tech world and I expect the words, "It's time to build" to do the same. But in a good way.
You can read Time to build here.

My favorite snippet, for those wondering:

“The problem is desire. We need to *want* these things. The problem is inertia. We need to want these things more than we want to prevent these things. The problem is regulatory capture. We need to want new companies to build these things, even if incumbents don’t like it, even if only to force the incumbents to build these things. And the problem is will. We need to build these things.”
