Gusto,  a popular human resources platform for SMBs, announced a $200 million funding round this week. This new money brings Gusto's valuation to $3.8 billion.

Gusto crossed the 100,000 customer barrier in the past year but Josh Reeves, Gusto CEO, still think they're in the early stages of growth. I'd have to agree.

“There’s still a lot of pain out there and at the end of the day we exist to fix the pain for customers,” said Josh Reeves, Gusto CEO, and co-founder. “There are six million employers in America and 98% are sub 100 employees. A lot of small businesses are doing things by hand.”
